The STARFIRE yacht returns to sea after a complete refurbishment by Abeking & Rasmussen

Abeking & Rasmussen is undoubtedly a company with great international prestige within the luxury yacht industry. Its strong position is due to projects like the one it has just completed. We are referring to the refurbishment and delivery of the STARFIRE yacht, a stunning 73-meter-long vessel originally built by another industry giant: Lürssen. The yacht has undergone a comprehensive transformation that aims to adapt to the new standards of elegance and functionality at sea now promoted by the sector.

The refurbishment of the STARFIRE has not only rejuvenated its appearance but has also elevated its functionality to new levels of excellence. The project, which was completed in 12 months, incorporates significant improvements such as:

  • Stern Extension: A 3-meter extension that has created additional leisure spaces, including a watersports area and a dining area at the waterline level.
  • New Glass-Enclosed Gym: Equipped with air conditioning, a sauna, a cold plunge pool, and a massage area, this space offers an unparalleled wellness experience while cruising.
  • Interior and Exterior Renovations: Including a bold new color palette, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a completely renovated interior design.
  • Technical Upgrades: Key systems reviewed to ensure optimal performance for years to come.

The success of this ambitious project is the result of a collaboration between several leading companies in their respective fields within the industry. These include:

  • Arrow Yachts: Representatives of the owner.
  • Pascoli International: Responsible for the exterior design.
  • Patrick Knowles Design: Responsible for the interior transformation.
  • Murray & Associates: Aft Extension Design

Hannes Köhler, Project Manager at A&R, stated, “STARFIRE’s transformation is a testament to excellent teamwork. From her bold new aesthetic to functional enhancements, we have realized her owner’s vision with meticulous attention to detail.”

One of the most striking changes on STARFIRE is her new paint job, which combines a sleek, modern aesthetic with a bold color palette. The interiors have been completely transformed, with light-filled, luxurious spaces that maximize panoramic views thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows on the main and upper decks.

The new gym, meanwhile, serves as a truly exclusive sanctuary for maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle at sea.

A yacht prepared for the future

With these improvements, the STARFIRE offers an unparalleled experience of luxury and comfort, while also incorporating new equipment that guarantees exceptional technical performance for years to come.
