Located on Sardinia’s enchanting northern coast, Porto Cervo is a true haven for luxury seekers, offering an idyllic blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. As I walked along this gem of the Emerald Coast, I was captivated by its pristine beaches and, of course, its exquisite cuisine, all framed by a Mediterranean that seems to shine differently here.

My first impression of Porto Cervo
From the moment I arrived in Porto Cervo, it was crystal clear why this coastal village is known as one of the most luxurious destinations in the world. The journey from Olbia Airport was a picturesque drive through rolling hills and coastal vistas, preparing me for the beauty that awaited me.

Upon entering Porto Cervo, the sight of its sophisticated marina, filled with luxury yachts and surrounded by chic boutiques and cafes, instantly conveyed an atmosphere of elegance and exclusivity that few places are capable of generating.
Accommodation worthy of the place

Staying in Porto Cervo is an experience in itself. I was fortunate enough to stay at the illustrious Hotel Cala di Volpe, a hotel from the Luxury Collection. Set amidst lush gardens and overlooking the turquoise sea, this hotel epitomizes luxury with its spacious rooms, private terraces, and impeccable service. Every morning, waking up to the serene views of the Bay of Liscia Ruja was a reminder of the paradise I was in.
Beaches and unspeakable natural beauty

I must admit that I’m not much of a beach person. You won’t see me on the shores of any sea, ready to relax on its fine sands, but I must admit that Porto Cervo’s beaches are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Capriccioli Beach and Liscia Ruja Beach, with their soft white sand and crystal-clear waters, are perfect for sunbathing and swimming. For those seeking a more private experience, the hidden coves, accessible only by boat, offer an unspoiled haven that transports you to paradise. The turquoise waters and landscapes create a perfect setting for both relaxation and adventure.
Luxury activities and leisure

For golf enthusiasts like me, Porto Cervo is a dream come true. The Pevero Golf Club, with its breathtaking views and challenging course, made the experience of enjoying golf simply unforgettable. While playing, the stunning Mediterranean backdrop and the scent of wild herbs from the surrounding hills made every moment magical.

Water activities are also a highlight in Porto Cervo. Chartering a luxury yacht for a day of sailing was a splurge that was worth every moment. The sensation of gliding over the calm waters, with the sun setting in a glow of orange and pink, was an experience I will cherish forever. It’s a shame I’m not a good photographer because, while I would love to have the talent to capture all the places I visit and the moments I have the privilege of experiencing, I’m afraid I must let stock images do their work to show the reader the full charm of the places I have the pleasure of visiting.
Oh! I almost forgot, the area also offers opportunities for diving, windsurfing, and fishing, catering to all tastes and preferences.
Shopping and dining
Porto Cervo is a shopper’s paradise, with its abundance of high-end designer boutiques and unique local shops. Strolling through the Piazzetta, I discovered exquisite fashion, jewelry, and home decor from international brands and talented local artisans. Each shop was a testament to the elegance and sophistication that define Porto Cervo.
Dining in Porto Cervo is an equally luxurious affair. The seafood here is exceptional, with restaurants like Ristorante Cala di Volpe offering gourmet dishes made with the freshest local ingredients. The culinary journey isn’t just about the food; it’s about the ambiance and impeccable service that elevate the dining experience. The wine selection, featuring some of the finest Sardinian and Italian wines, perfectly complemented each meal.
Cultural experiences

Beyond its natural and commercial appeal, Porto Cervo boasts a rich cultural scene. The Stella Maris Church, perched on a hill overlooking the coast, is a must-see. Designed by architect Michele Busiri Vici, its rounded, sinuous lines and use of natural materials blend perfectly with the landscape. Inside, the church houses a painting by El Greco and a beautiful 18th-century pipe organ, adding historical depth to the visit.
The summer months in Porto Cervo are vibrant with cultural events, from music festivals to art exhibitions. I had the pleasure of attending the Porto Cervo Food Festival in September, where I sampled some of the finest Sardinian wine and gastronomy. The blend of flavors, local wines, and festive atmosphere made it one of the highlights of my trip.
Nightlife and entertainment

When the sun sets, Porto Cervo comes alive with its glamorous nightlife. The town is dotted with trendy bars, chic beach clubs, and exclusive nightclubs. My evenings often began with an aperitif at Phi Beach Bar, famous for its stunning sunset views and fantastic atmosphere. I used the evenings to relax because I’m not one to go out until the early hours, but I heard about clubs like Billionaire Porto Cervo, where the energy and excitement are said to create a truly unique entertainment environment.
In short,

Porto Cervo is more than a destination; it’s an experience that captivates all your senses. My time in Porto Cervo was simply magical, and like any trip, it left me with memories I’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for a luxury getaway that combines the best of nature and sophistication, Porto Cervo should be high on your list.
