The Italian footwear brand Aquazzura is entering the hospitality world for the first time by opening the exclusive Aquazzura Bar, an experience born from a collaboration with the legendary Hotel de Russie, owned by the Rocco Forte Hotels group. The announcement of this partnership also coincides with the 25th anniversary of the iconic hotel, a symbol of Roman elegance and a favorite retreat for discerning travelers, artists, and other celebrities.

A secret garden within a secret garden

Aquazzura Bar Hotel de Russie in Rome

Located in the intimate interior courtyard of the Hotel de Russie, the Aquazzura Bar represents a dreamlike escape into a universe of color and nature. From the moment guests cross the hotel’s majestic entrance, they are guided into a kind of enchanted oasis, hidden from urban view but brimming with beauty and serenity. As if stepping into the pages of an illustrated storybook, the space unfolds with an aura of mystery and charm, evoking the purest essence of La Dolce Vita.

Inspired by the Aquazzura Casa Secret Garden tableware collection, the bar’s design pays homage to exquisite Italian gardens and the romanticism of 18th-century botanical illustrations. Birds and butterflies in lush green tones decorate the surroundings, while the Valadier Garden acts as a natural backdrop, elevating the experience to an almost cinematic dimension.

A space designed to spark conversation

Each element of the Aquazzura Bar has been carefully selected to offer a unique experience. Custom-made double-patterned awnings contrast Aquazzura’s iconic black and white striped pattern on the exterior with the delicate Secret Garden design on the interior, creating a dynamic and surprising visual narrative.

The furniture, designed by the prestigious Portuguese interior design studio Casa do Passadiço, combines metal structures with soft seating and comfortable sofas that invite leisurely conversation and prolonged enjoyment. The surroundings are framed by green trellises and lemon trees arranged in striped planters, accentuating the Mediterranean garden atmosphere.

The bar, the heart of the space, is clad with handmade Portuguese tiles painted with lemon motifs evoking the citrus groves of southern Italy. This choice is no coincidence, as it represents a tribute to the flavors, colors, and aromas of the peninsula, translated into an aesthetic key.

A corner of Rome that pays homage to the art of living

From the signature cocktails to the decoration of each table, every detail has been carefully considered to celebrate beauty, style, and hospitality. The Aquazzura Bar thus establishes itself as a new benchmark in the international luxury scene. In this place, the excellence of Rocco Forte Hotels merges with Aquazzura’s bold, modern, and profoundly Italian aesthetic.

This space, both intimate and exuberant, is an invitation to discover the soul of Rome from a unique perspective: that of those who know that true luxury lies in the details that move.
